Here on 10.6.8:

Funny but real, trying open your website with your own browser comes this message:

"Runecats Roccat
Houston we have a purrr-oblem!

Reason : An SSL error has occurred. A secure connection to the server can not be established."

(btw. why don't you have https?)

and

"Error while updating.
An error occurred while querying the update data. Please try again later."

(Firewall off)

and where is the link for 8.2 update?

The download link just offers 8.1.

So summarized: The Roccat Browser project has been abandoned or a joke.

Sorry to say that.

Meeoow!

Hello Bohumil,

Firstly Runecats does have SSL and the Roccat project is not abandoned. We are aware of this issue it's caused because Snow Leopard doesn't support the latest TLS versions and Roccat relies on many system frameworks. If you try and load sites which have this warning in Safari you will notice a similar error.

We are looking into workarounds for Snow Leopard, with Leopard you can relink against Leopard Webkit which overcomes that issue, but there isn't a functional version of that for Snow Leopard yet.

If we find a workaround we'll be sure to let you know.

Hello Mr. Support!

Thanks a lot for your honest answer.

Never forget:

There's a big community of SL freaks! And updated browsers for this OS are getting rare.

I'm surfin' on a dismanteled version of Tor Browser which is the only  "safe" option nowadays for the SL community.

No worries,

We love Snow Leopard, and our Snow Leopard users, of course if there is anything we can do, we will do it!

All the best,
Tom (Runecats Support)
